In 2000 Naji and Jill Boutros and their four children resettled in Naji’s home village of Bhamboun in order to re-establish viti and viniculture, promoting jobs and rejuvenation in a place that had been devastated by war. An investment banker by trade Naji sought out the best people possible to guide him and the team have successfully established Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah on ancient high altitude terraces matching grape variety with the best soils and elevations to create terroir driven wines. Yields are low and production is currently only 20,000 bottles. The Boutros’s currently sell their wine through their own wine club and we are now delighted to be able to offer their unique wines within the UK.
