Domaine Jean Collet et Fils

The Collets have been connected to the vineyards of Chablis since 1792 and pride themselves on their knowledge of the soils and the Crus. The Domaine was officially established in 1952 by Jean Collet with his father Marius still making wine though they didn’t begin bottling under their own label until 1954. Gilles followed father Jean into the business in 1979 which became Jean Collet et Fils and lastly his son Romain joined the domaine for the 2009 vintage after studying in Beaune and working in New Zealand. With tradition running through the veins of this domaine for over 200 years it is no surprise that the soil and the vineyard are all important and yet the Collets have happily invested in modern wine making facilities, ensuring that the purity of the fruit and the expression of the vineyard are perfectly preserved in each bottle.
