For years this domaine was in seemingly terminal decline - a tragedy given the quality of its vineyards - 50 acres of exclusively classified grands crus and premiers crus of the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune. Negociant Antonin Rodet assumed control in the late 80’s sparking a renaissance in quality. In 1994, Edouard Labruyere a young entrepreneur, whose family own Chateau Rouget in Pomerol took over, giving the Domaine a new lease of life. The wines now rival the very finest producers on the Côte.
